A Fine and rare William IV period mahogany Four Partners Architects Library Desk of quite extraordinary proportions. Almost certainly made for an Architect or Architects' practice, this is shown with the central drawers allowing for plans and drawings. Original gilt bronze handles and original escutcheons.
Refined carving to all the drawer fronts and strong carved architectural pillars to all four corners of the individual sections, having come from a very fine workshops.
The drawers are made of oak and cedar linings. Leather not the original having been replaced some eighty ninety years ago. Excellent overall condition. English Circa 1835.
